COURSE DESCRIPTION
Held along gorgeous Crissy Field in San Francisco's Presidio, event will consist of a 4-Person or 2-Person Relay. We will also offer a new XTERRA Presidio Challenge 5K & 10K for those running solo.

Participants will loop around scenic Crissy Field with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz Island and more!

Presidio Relay
Relay distance is 20K (12.4 miles) total and consists of four (4) 5K loops around Crissy Field.

4-Person teams each complete one (1) 5K loop. 2-Person teams each complete two (2) 5K loops.

IMPORTANT: Timing chip must be worn on the runner's ankle. No exceptions! The chip will act as the 'race baton' and will be exchanged between each runner.

Relay Team Divisions
- OPEN - Men, Women, Coed

Note: Coed teams must consist of equal number of males & females. Any other configuration will default to an all-male or all-female division.

XTERRA 5K & 10K 5K participants will complete one (1) loop around Crissy Field. 10K participants complete two (2) laps.

START / EXCHANGE / FINISH
Race will start on Mason Street directly across from Sports Basement. Runners will head west on Mason Street toward the Golden Gate Bridge and loop back. Relay exchange area and finish line will be located in Sports Basement parking lot. Course Map ›

RACE EXPO
Post-race sponsor expo will be held at Sports Basement (Presidio); 610 Mason Street. Registration & packet pick-up opens at 6:30am and ends at 7:50am. Directions ›

BIB / TIMING CHIP PICK-UP
Runners, pick-up race number and timing chip on Race Day!

Relay Teams: Team Captains are responsible for picking up bib numbers and timing chip. There is only one (1) chip per team.

XTERRA 5K & 10K: All participants will receive a bib number and chip.

ROAD CLOSURE
Mason Street will be closed between Halleck Street and Crissy Field Ave beginning at 7am till 10:30am.

EVENT PARKING
Parking will be available in the Sports Basement main lot. During the event, access to and from the lot will be directed from Halleck Street. Course Map ›

TIMING CHIP RULES
Timing chips will be attached to a velcro ankle strap. Chips must be worn on the ankle to insure that runners will be accurately recorded. This rule will be strictly enforced.

RELAY EXCHANGE RULES
Each runner must attach timing chip to their ankle prior to the start of the race (Leg 1) or within the Exchange Area (Legs 2-4). Teammates may assist with the chip transition within the Exchange Area.

DISQUALIFICATION
Runners are NOT allowed to carry timing chips in their hands, wrists or arms. Relay teams identified not complying with this rule will be subject to disqualification from the top finisher awards.

2-PERSON TEAM RULES
Both runners must complete two (2) back-to-back 5K loops (10K total). 2-person teams are NOT allowed to alternate after each loop.

TOP FINISHER AWARDS
Medals will be awarded to top Relay Teams in each division. XTERRA 5K & 10K runners will also receive medals for top-3 finishers in each age group division.

USATF CERTIFICATION

The Presidio Relay is a fully certified course and sanctioned race with USA Track & Field.
